2009-2010
The Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation® (ACAT) was
established in 1973 as a non-profit independent testing, accrediting
and monitoring organization. The Council seeks to identify professionals
in independent practice who specialize in providing financial, accounting
and taxation services to individuals and small- to mid-size businesses.
Professionals receive accreditation through examination and/or coursework
and maintain their accreditation through commitment to a significant
program of continuing professional education and adherence to the Council's
Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct.
ACAT is affiliated with the National Society of Accountants, headquartered
in Alexandria, VA. ACAT programs are governed by a Board of Directors
that includes practitioners, educators and a public member.
PRESIDENT
Daniel E. Setters, EA, ABA, ATA, ATP, ARA
Champaign, IL
Dan Setters became involved with the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation in 1984 when he became an Accredited Tax Advisor and an Accredited Tax Preparer. In 1990 he earned the Accredited Business Accountant credential. He first joined the ACAT Board in 2002 as the NSA appointee to the Board. He became NSA President in 2003. In 2007, he was once again appointed to the ACAT Board of Directors, and in 2009 he was named ACAT President.
VICE PRESIDENT
Ronny K. Woods, EA, PA, ABA, ATA
Nashville, AR
Ronny Woods has long been involved with NSA governance, including serving on the State Regulation and Oversight Committee, and in 2006 he was named Accountant of the Year. He has earned two ACAT credentials, the Accredited Business Accountant and the Accredited Tax Advisor, both in 1990. In 2008, he was appointed to the Board of Directors and in 2009 he was named Vice President.
SECRETARY/TREASURER
Roger Berryman, EA, ATA
Holdenville, OK
Roger Berryman first became involved with ACAT when he earned the Accredited Tax Advisor credential in 1990. He has also been involved with NSA on a National level since 2007 when we was appointed as Administrative Chair of the Right to Practice Committee and he was also chair of the State Regulation and
Oversight Committee from 1994 to 2007. In 1998, the National Society of Accountants named him
Accountant of the year. In 2007 he was appointed to the Board of Directors for ACAT, and in 2008 he began serving as Secretary/Treasurer.

Donny J. Woods, EA, PA, ABA, ATA
Nashville, AR
Donny Woods has been an NSA member since 1980 and is currently the 1st Vice President and NSA appointee to the ACAT Board of Directors. He has held various positions along the way, including State Director of Arkansas, District VIII Governor and Secretary/Treasurer. He earned both the Accredited Business Advisor and the Accredited Tax Advisor in 1990.

Christine Gerig, ABA
Gilbert, AZ
Christine Gerig was a full-time faculty member at Chattahoochee Technical College in Dallas, Georgia for nine years, two of the nine years as Lead Instructor until her retirement in 2007. Gerig has been an Accredited Business Accountant since 2002 and a participant on the SME Panel since 2003. She helped several dozen students over the past five years prepare for sitting for ACAT's Comprehensive Examination for Accreditation in Accountancy by teaching a review course at Chattahoochee Tech. She was appointed to the ACAT Board of Directors in 2005 as the Educator member, and in 2008 she became the first Educator member to serve as President.

Wanda Goodson, CPA, ABA, ATA
Wanda Goodson has held the Accredited Business Accountant and the Accredited Tax Advisor credentials since 1990 and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1994. She is very active in the Georgia Affiliate, the Georgia Association of Accountants and Tax Professionals and has held every office. She is a past NSA State Director and Governor for District IV, and was also awarded the Norma Krause Award for distinguished service as State Director. In 2008 she was reappointed to the ACAT Board of Directors. Wanda was just recently appointed to the Georgia State Board of Accountancy in 2010.

Carla Rich, DPA, CPA, ABA
Pensacola, FL
Carla Rich received the Accredited Business Accountant credential in 2007. A life-long educator, she is a full professor at both Pensacola Junior College and Troy University. She has been involved with the development of online education courses since they were first offered at both institutions. She became involved with the ACAT Board of Directors when she served as a member of two ACAT Cut Score Task Forces, working on the Accredited Business Accountant and the Accredited Tax Preparer examinations. She was appointed as an Educator member to the Board in 2008.

Donald G. Yoder, LPA, EA, ABA, ATA
Kalona, IA
Don G. Yoder has held the Accredited Business Accountant and Accredited Tax Advisor credentials since 1991, and has been a Licensed Public Account in the State of Iowa since 1993. He is a past NSA State Director and Governor of NSA District VII, and he was also was honored with the Norma Krause award for distinguished service as State director. He was appointed to the ACAT Board of Directors in 2009.
PUBLIC DIRECTOR
Michael D. Kinkade
Nashville, AR
Mike Kinkade is currently the Vice Chancellor for Planning and Facilities for the Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas. Since 2001 he has been responsible for facilities planning, construction and oversight. He is very active in his community; he has served a term as the President of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, President of the Nashville School Board and he was also named the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year. He was appointed as Public Director to the ACAT Board of Directors on January 10, 2010.

and related financial services in order to maintain the highest
level of service to the public; to promote the value, recognition
and use of the ACAT credentials; to protect the ability to use
