Annual renewal fees are due June 30th of each year. If you have not paid your renewal fees or fail to meet the CPE requirements, you have five years from the date of expiration to request reinstatement. A reinstatement fee of $75-100 is charged in addition to the current year's annual renewal fee.

Reinstatement requests are being accepted for past certificants with credentials expiring June 30, 2025; 2024; 2023; 2022; and 2021. Individuals expiring in 2021 have until June 30, 2026 to submit their reinstatement request until they'll be required to retake the exam.

The ATP requires you to have earned 24 hours of continuing education in the prior calendar year, including a minimum of:

Continuing Education Requirements

ACAT will accept CPE that is recognized by NASBA, IRS, State Boards of Accountancy, NSA, NSA-affiliated state organizations, or accredited universities or colleges. CPE is accepted for both live (in-person and virtually) and self-study courses provided that the program measures attendance/participation through the program.
